Ibn Battuta was a muslim Moroccan Berber explorer known for his extensive travels published in the "Rihia" ( literally, The Journey"). Over a period of 30 years, he visited countries in the North Africa, Horn of Africa, West Africa, Southern Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East, South Asia, Central Asia, South East Asia and China.
He is considered as one of the greatest travellers of all time. He journeyed more than 100,000 miles, a figure unsurpassed by any individual explorer until the coming of Steam Age some 450 years later. Here is the list of modern cities and countries he visited.
